VXG Cloud VMS supports on-demand backup from a camera’s SD card. If your connection is unstable, video is stored locally on the camera’s SD card and then automatically synchronized to the cloud once the connection is restored. For environments where local storage is mandatory, we also offer a Cloud NVR module that records on-premises while maintaining cloud accessibility.
You have full flexibility. VXG supports two primary recording modes: Continuous Recording (24/7 video stream captured directly to the cloud); Event-based Recording (triggered by motion, audio, or AI-driven "Profile M" events (like line crossing or face detection)). You can also configure "pre-event" and "post-event" intervals to ensure you capture the context leading up to a trigger.
VXG uses a unique micro-services architecture and video pre-processing that can reduce bandwidth consumption by up to 100x. VXG records video to standard, secure object storage (like AWS S3). On the VMS level, all data is fully anonymous - cameras are identified only by unique IDs. Additionally, VXG allows you to maintain Full Control and Ownership; you can integrate your own authentication services (like Google Firebase) so that only authorized users have access to the feeds.
No. VXG is vendor-agnostic. Our platform is integrated with all major camera brands and supports any IP camera, DVR, or NVR that uses standard protocols like RTSP, ONVIF, or RTMP. This allows you to "cloud-enable" your existing hardware without needing a forklift upgrade.
Retention periods are fully customizable per camera. For example, you can set a high-traffic entrance camera to retain footage for 90 days while setting an interior hallway camera to 30 days. This helps you manage storage costs effectively while meeting specific compliance or security requirements.
