Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, absolutely. VXG is designed from scratch as a completely brandable, white-label Cloud VMS platform. You are welcome to completely re-brand it with your brand name, logos and colors, including:
  • Your Web Client: Branding the whole Web (Cloud One, modern Cloud Two, or both clients) look-and-feel, so it looks like your SaaS.
  • Your Mobile Apps: Release your own branded native iOS and Android apps in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store with the use of our SDK.
VXG provides 3 onboarding options to seamlessly connect cameras without any complex network configurations or a need for public static IPs:
  1. Camera to Cloud (Uplink Plugin) Install the lightweight VXG plug-in to your compatible IP cameras (Axis, Hanwha, i-PRO, Uniview, etc). You can instantly have plug and play access to the cloud from anywhere, with no firewall ports open required.
  2. Cloud Gateway Run VXG software on a device in the same network as your cameras. This device can be a Docker container running on a local server, a local Linux PC, or even an OpenWRT/MikroTik router.
  3. Direct ONVIF If you already have a VPN or a public static IP, VXG can connect to any local ONVIF camera.
We are hardware-independent! VXG supports all standard ONVIF and RTSP-enabled cameras (more than 20,000 camera models including but not limited to: Axis, Hanwha, Hikvision, Dahua, Vivotek). Also, if you have existing NVR or DVR in your office, it’s very easy to stream videos from them toVXG Cloud with Cloud Gateway and Cloud NVR package.
Yes. Unlike locked-down, proprietary Cloud VMS providers, VXG offers a self-hosted deployment model. You have full control over where your platform and video data live. You can deploy and host the infrastructure in:
  • Your own private data center.
  • Your own public cloud accounts such as AWS (leveraging Amazon S3 and Bedrock).
  • Hybrid to keep you on premise reliability with the intelligence from the cloud.
Yes. Multi-tenancy is inherent in our architecture. VXG can manage the data in a hierarchical way:
  • Admin (Integrator) level: You have access to the master dashboard where you can create, setup, and manage detached sub-accounts (tenants) for each one of your customers.
  • Dealers/Customers level: You can empower your sub-integrators, dealers or customer managers with administrative capabilities to administrate their local sites, cameras and users, but all the data remains separated and encrypted.
VXG can reduce false alarms using advanced video analytics that is customizable by integrators:
  • Generative AI (GenAI): Integrators may enable natural language context aware alerts (“Alert me if a person enteres the zone after 10PM”) and natural language video searches using Amazon Bedrock.
  • Edge and Cloud AI Engines: Integrating Edge (on camera) or cloud video analytics engines (e.g. Amazon Rekognition for Facial Recognition, object detection, and LPR). Event metadata is captured and stored for easy searches directly linked to the underlying video clip.
Absolutely. We’ve designed VXG around an open API-first architecture, meaning you can leverage our rich REST APIs and Webhooks to assemble a complete, turnkey solution. It’s common for integrators to interface VXG with physical intrusion alarms, security sensors, alarm panels, and physical office equipment. When an event happens, it can immediately record to the cloud, take a snapshot, and send push notifications to appropriate users.
