Frequently Asked Questions

VXG is a complete white-label cloud-native VMS solution designed for telecom providers and ISPs to quickly offer their own branded Video Surveillance as a Service (VSaaS). Telecoms can bundle their cloud CCTV plans with broadband or mobile data offerings to their Residential, SMB and Enterprise users. Thanks to the robust Web and Mobile SDKs of VXG, you can embed live streaming video and cloud recordings into your existing web portals and mobile apps to offer a compelling, sticky new recurring revenue source (ARPU growth).
Absolutely. Traditional hardcoded private cloud infrastructure can’t compete on the same playing field as VXG’s software-based architecture that provides all the deployment flexibility your business needs. In fact, Telecom operators can deploy all of the VXG core infrastructure entirely within their own private cloud, on their premise-based datacenters, or in the cloud – on premise like in an enterprise’s AWS instance. This supports full data residency regulations, lets you control how video traffic is routed, and lets you monetize your existing network bandwidth and data storage.
VXG is built on a strict API-first architecture. Every single action, user provision, camera onboarding step, and tier management control is accessible via comprehensive REST APIs and Webhooks. This makes it seamless to integrate the video platform with your existing operational support systems (OSS) and business support systems (BSS), automating customer onboarding, camera provisioning, subscription tier upgrades, and automated billing cycles without human intervention.
Manually onboarding thousands of residential or commercial cameras is not an operation for a telecom. VXG automates Away with this friction through the Uplink Technology:
  1. Camera to Cloud (Plug-ins): We’ve developed open-source firmware plug-ins for mainstream cameras (Axis, Hanwha, i-PRO etc.)– which allows your customer to plug their cameras in, and they instantly connect to the telco cloud, Out-of-the-box!
  2. Uplink Gateway (Docker): For large deployments or diverse hardware environments, a lightweight docker gateway can be run directly on customer routers or on any edge device. Both approaches establish a secured outbound connection, freeing the telecom from an operational burden – port forwarding configuration, local VPNs, and static public IPs for users are a thing of the past.
The high security requirements of the telecom industry are catered for by the VXG platform design, with its rigid multi-tenancy framework guaranteeing complete user and data separation between your retail and business customers. All video streams and metadata are encrypted during transmission (e.g., TLS/SSL, WebRTC) and at rest within its underlying storage infrastructure. In addition, fine-grained Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and full activity logging of the platform helps ensure your VSaaS complies with robust security audits and global standards (including GDPR).
