Axis Camera: Default IP, Username, Password, Port
Axis Communications cameras are favored by many in professional surveillance because they offer a robust security model and a flexible network setup. Consumers using IP cameras sometimes are lax because they often come with simple default logins that are ignored; Axis cameras require setup of a secure password the very first time you access them. Understanding Axis default ip, username, password and ports will help tremendously with a fresh install, when attempting to diagnose or reset an Axis camera.
Default IP Address
By default Axis network cameras are configured to retrieve their IP address over DHCP. This enables the router to automatically assign a usable IP address as soon as you plug the camera in to the network. If no DHCP server is found many axis cameras revert to the fallback address of 192.168.0.90. You can find the real IP address from the connected devices list on your router, or through Axis network discovery tools.
Default Username
The default username is root for all Axis cameras. Root user has full privileges and it's used the first time you are logging in the camera. Root user can't be removed and it's created automatically at device setup.
Default Password
The Axis cameras do not have default password in factory settings; the user should set the password of the root account during the first logging into the system. This enhances the security because, default password usually known by many persons will be in the system. If the password is misplaced, a factory reset must be done to make access to the camera system again.
Default Port
Axis IP Cameras, by default, support the use of port 80 for HTTP connection sand port 443 for HTTPS connections. New cameras may automatically send you to a HTTPS connection for extra security. Streaming and service ports may also be enabled depending on settings of the cameras configuration, butweb service portis usually set to 80 or 443, if modified at all.
