Default Credentials for LaView Cameras

LaView CCTV cameras are popular for home and business security systems due to their reliability, high-quality video, and remote connection flexibility. If you have a new LaView camera or are resetting an existing one to default conditions, understanding the default login information and connection setup can allow you to begin adjusting settings and connecting to software or apps to monitor a property.

Default IP Address

Default LaView cameras are automatically given the address 192.168.1.64 when connected directly to a local network. If you are unable to reach your camera with 192.168.1.64 you may need to search for the address as DHCP may have assigned the camera a different address. You can find the IP through the LaView software tool or network scanner.

Default Username

By default, the username for LaView camera is admin. It enables admin to get complete access to the device and control all features like video, storage, and user permission. We highly recommend changing the default username once the LaView Camera installation is complete.

Default Password

In most cases, the default password will be 12345, or the field will be empty. If you are asked to provide a new password during the initial login, use a complex mix of symbols, characters, and numbers. Default and weak passwords are one of the biggest vulnerabilities of IP cameras.

Default Port

The common port for all LaView cameras is 8000. This port is used by the camera for client software, remote access, and the mobile app. Occasionally, customers may also setup port 80 for http web access or port 443 for https web access. If you require remote viewing, you will need to forward port 8000 on your router.
