BCS Camera: Default IP, Username, Password, Port

BCS cameras are a popular choice for professional surveillance systems, offering reliability, good image quality, and compatibility with ONVIF and other security standards. Whether you’re installing a new BCS IP camera or resetting an existing one, knowing its default network settings is essential. These details help you connect the camera to your local network, access its interface, and configure it for recording or remote monitoring.

Default IP Address

The default IP address for most BCS IP cameras is 192.168.1.108. This address allows users to access the camera through a web browser or dedicated software. To connect, make sure your computer is on the same network segment, typically using an IP such as 192.168.1.xxx. If you can’t access the camera, it may be due to DHCP being enabled or the device already obtaining a different IP from your router. In that case, you can use the BCS Manager or ConfigTool software to detect the camera’s actual IP on the network.

Default Username

The default username for BCS cameras is usually admin. This account has full administrative privileges, giving access to all configuration options such as video settings, motion detection, and network adjustments. For security reasons, it’s strongly recommended to change the username or at least the password after the first login to protect the device from unauthorized access.

Default Password

The default password for BCS cameras is commonly admin or left blank (no password). However, newer models may require users to create a new password during the initial setup process. This measure enhances security and prevents remote attacks through default credentials. If you have forgotten your password, you can perform a hardware reset using the reset button located on the camera body or by contacting BCS technical support.

Default Port

The standard port used by BCS cameras is 37777 for TCP connections and 554 for RTSP streaming. Port 80 is typically used for HTTP web access. These ports allow remote communication with NVRs, VMS software, or mobile apps. If you plan to view your camera remotely over the internet, you may need to forward these ports in your router’s settings. Always ensure your network is secure by using strong passwords and enabling HTTPS if available.

FAQs

You can use the BCS Manager or ConfigTool to scan your local network and detect the camera’s IP address. This is especially useful if the default address was changed automatically by DHCP.
If the default login does not work, the credentials may have been changed previously. Try resetting the camera to factory settings using the physical reset button, usually located near the SD card slot or cable connection.
Yes, you can modify the default ports in the camera’s network settings. Changing ports can enhance security and prevent conflicts with other devices using the same port numbers.
To reset a BCS camera, press and hold the reset button for about 10–15 seconds while the device is powered on. The camera will reboot and restore all factory default settings, including IP address and login credentials.
