Concept Pro Camera: Default IP, Username, Password, Port

When installing a new Concept Pro IP camera, one of the first tasks is to access its web interface for setup and configuration. Like most professional security cameras, Concept Pro models come with factory-set defaults for the IP address, username, password, and port number. These defaults make it easier for installers and users to connect for the first time. However, it is always recommended to change these settings immediately after installation to ensure security. Let’s look at the default login details you need to know when working with Concept Pro cameras.

Default IP Address

Most Concept Pro IP cameras ship with a factory default IP address of 192.168.1.168. This address allows the camera to be discovered on a local network. To access the device, your computer should be configured to use an IP address within the same range, for example 192.168.1.10. If you are using multiple cameras, each one should later be assigned a unique IP address to avoid conflicts.

Default Username

The default username for Concept Pro cameras is typically admin. This gives full access to all camera settings including video streaming, network configuration, and system management. While "admin" is the most common default, some models may allow additional user accounts to be created with different access levels after the initial setup.

Default Password

The default password is also usually admin. This is set by the manufacturer for convenience during installation. Since using the default password poses a major security risk, it is strongly recommended to change it to a strong and unique password as soon as you log in for the first time. Some newer Concept Pro cameras may even force a password change during the initial setup process.

Default Port

The default port used by Concept Pro cameras for web access is 80, which is the standard HTTP port. If remote access is required, you may need to configure port forwarding on your router and, for additional security, change the port number from 80 to a non-standard value. Some models also support HTTPS access via port 443 for encrypted communication.

FAQs

If you cannot locate the camera with the default IP address, you can use the manufacturer’s discovery tool or a network scanner. These utilities search your local network and display the connected cameras along with their assigned IP addresses.
If the default credentials are not working, the camera may have already been configured by someone else or the password may have been changed. In this case, you will need to perform a factory reset, usually by pressing and holding the reset button on the device for about 10–15 seconds until it reboots.
Technically, yes, but it is highly discouraged. Leaving the default username and password active makes the camera extremely vulnerable to unauthorized access. Changing these details should be the first step after installation.
Yes, Concept Pro cameras support remote viewing through web browsers, mobile apps, and NVR software. To enable this, you may need to configure port forwarding, dynamic DNS, or use a cloud-based service provided by the manufacturer. For secure connections, enabling HTTPS is recommended.
