Eyemax Camera: Default IP, Username, Password, Port

Wirepath cameras are popular in both home and business security systems because they provide reliable video surveillance with remote access options. Like most IP cameras, they come with default network settings that allow installers and users to quickly configure the device. Knowing the default login details and port information can help you set up or troubleshoot your Wirepath camera without unnecessary delays.

Default IP Address

When shipped from the factory, Wirepath cameras usually come with a preset IP address. This is often set to a common private network range such as 192.168.1.108. If your network uses a different range, you may need to adjust your computer’s IP settings temporarily to access the camera and then reconfigure the camera to match your local network.

Default Username

The default username for most Wirepath cameras is typically admin. This account has full access privileges, which means it can change video settings, adjust network configurations, and manage user accounts.

Default Password

The factory default password is also commonly set to 12345 or left blank on some older models. If the password field is blank, simply leaving it empty at login should grant access. For security reasons, it’s strongly recommended to change this password during the initial setup to prevent unauthorized access.

Default Port

By default, Wirepath cameras use port 80 for HTTP access. This allows users to log into the camera interface via a standard web browser. If you are setting up remote access through a router, you may need to forward port 80 (or a custom port if changed) to reach the camera from outside your local network.

FAQs

If the default username and password do not grant access, it is possible that the installer or a previous user changed the credentials. In this case, you may need to reset the camera to factory settings using the reset button, usually located on the device.
Yes, after logging in with the default credentials, you can update the IP address to match your network’s configuration. This ensures the camera integrates seamlessly with your existing devices.
To enable remote access, log into your router and configure port forwarding for the camera’s IP address and port. Once done, you can connect to the camera using your public IP address or a dynamic DNS service.
No, it is not safe. Leaving the default password makes your camera vulnerable to unauthorized access. Always update the password to a strong, unique one as soon as the installation is complete.
