Geutebrück Camera: Default IP, Username, Password, Port

Geutebrück cameras are known for their German engineering precision, delivering high-quality video surveillance solutions trusted in commercial, government, and industrial environments. These systems are designed with robust security and reliability in mind, though like most IP cameras, they come with factory default settings that make initial setup simple. However, it’s crucial to change these credentials after installation to prevent unauthorized access and strengthen your network security posture.

Default IP Address

Most Geutebrück network cameras ship with the default IP address 192.168.0.10. If your camera doesn’t appear on the network after connecting it, use the Geutebrück configuration tool to detect it automatically. The camera must be on the same subnet as your PC during the first setup, so ensure your computer’s IP address is within the same 192.168.0.x range.

Default Username

The default administrator username for most Geutebrück devices is admin. Some models may also include a secondary “service” or “user” account for limited access, depending on the firmware version. Using the admin account allows full configuration control, including network, video, and user management settings.

Default Password

Typically, Geutebrück cameras use the default password admin for initial login. In some newer models, you might be prompted to create a unique password during the first boot for compliance with cybersecurity standards. Regardless, always update the default password immediately to prevent security vulnerabilities — particularly if your camera is exposed to external networks.

Default Port

Geutebrück cameras generally use port 80 for HTTP access and port 554 for RTSP video streaming. If you are integrating your camera into a larger network or NVR (Network Video Recorder) system, confirm that these ports are open and not blocked by your firewall. You can also customize the port numbers within the camera’s web interface to add an extra layer of security.

FAQs

To reset the camera, press and hold the reset button for approximately 10 seconds while the device is powered on. Once the LED indicators flash, the camera reboots and restores its factory defaults, including the original IP address and credentials.
Your camera might be on a different subnet or have received an IP address from a DHCP server. Use the Geutebrück IP Finder utility to locate the camera automatically or assign a static IP address manually.
If you’ve lost the admin password, the only way to regain access is by performing a full hardware reset. Once reset, you can log in using the default credentials and create a new password.
Yes. In the network settings menu, you can modify the HTTP and RTSP ports to custom values. This is often done to prevent port conflicts or improve security in multi-device environments.
