LUMA Camera: Default IP, Username, Password, Port

When setting up LUMA security cameras for the first time, having the factory default settings at hand is essential. These defaults allow you to log in, connect the device to your network, and perform the initial configuration before personalizing the system for security and reliability. Below you’ll find the key default details for LUMA cameras, along with common troubleshooting tips.

Default IP Address

The default IP address for most LUMA cameras is 192.168.1.108. To access the camera, connect it to your local network and enter this IP address in a web browser. If your router uses a different subnet, you may need to temporarily adjust your computer’s network settings to match or use LUMA’s device discovery tool.

Default Username

The default username for LUMA cameras is admin. This account gives full administrative rights and is required to configure the device during the first login.

Default Password

By default, the password for LUMA cameras is either blank or 1234, depending on the camera model and firmware version. For security, you will be prompted to create a new, strong password during the initial setup process.

Default Port

LUMA cameras typically use 80 as the default HTTP port for browser access. Other ports may also be relevant, such as 554 for RTSP streaming and 443 for secure HTTPS connections. If you plan to enable remote access, make sure to configure port forwarding correctly and consider changing the defaults for added protection.

FAQs

Most LUMA cameras have a physical reset button that can be pressed and held for 10–15 seconds while the device is powered on. This restores the camera to its factory default IP, username, and password.
Yes. After logging into the camera with the default IP, you can navigate to the network settings and assign a static IP address that matches your network’s configuration.
If the default login does not work, it may have already been changed during installation. In that case, you can reset the camera to factory settings and try again with the default credentials.
No. Leaving factory credentials in place creates a serious security risk. It is strongly recommended to change the password immediately during setup and use a complex, unique one.
