Transcendent VITEK: Default IP, Username, Password, Port

Setting up a new Transcendent VITEK camera for the first time can be challenging if you don’t know the default login details. These network cameras come preconfigured with factory settings to allow quick installation and access before any custom adjustments are made. Understanding the default IP address, username, password, and port ensures you can connect directly, configure the system, and then change the details to secure your device.

Default IP Address

By default, most Transcendent VITEK cameras are set to the IP address 192.168.1.108. This allows the camera to be quickly detected on a local network. If you connect your camera to a router or switch, make sure your computer is also on the same subnet. If your network uses a different range, you may need to manually adjust your computer’s IP to match temporarily, then reconfigure the camera to your preferred address.

Default Username

The factory-set username for Transcendent VITEK cameras is admin. This administrative account gives you full control of the device, including settings for video quality, motion detection, and recording options. Always keep in mind that leaving the default username unchanged poses a risk to security, so creating new user accounts with specific permissions is recommended.

Default Password

The default password is usually left blank (no password required) or set as 123456 depending on the model and firmware version. This makes initial access easy but also represents a major vulnerability if not changed immediately. After logging in for the first time, create a strong password with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols to protect your video feed and prevent unauthorized access.

Default Port

Transcendent VITEK cameras typically use 80 as the default HTTP port for web access. Some models may also support additional ports, such as 554 for RTSP streaming or 8000 for client software connections. If your network already uses port 80 for another service, you can reassign the camera to a different port during setup.

Log in using the default details, navigate to the network settings menu, and assign a static IP that matches your local network. Save the settings and reboot the camera.
Yes, remote access is possible by forwarding the camera’s port in your router settings or by using a secure cloud service. For security reasons, always use strong authentication and encryption.
This usually happens when your network is set to a different IP range. Temporarily change your computer’s IP address to match the camera’s range, log in, and then reconfigure the camera’s IP to fit your network.
