They’re known for blending affordability with functionality, offering features such as HD video streaming, motion detection, and mobile app integration. Like most IP-based CCTV systems, these cameras come preconfigured with default network settings, allowing users to access the device easily during initial setup. Understanding these defaults is essential for successful configuration and for securing the camera against unauthorized access.

Default IP Address

ZANUO cameras generally use the 192.168.1.10 IP address by default. This static address allows direct access through a web browser or setup utility when the camera is connected to the same local network. If your router assigns IPs in a different range, you may need to temporarily adjust your computer’s network settings to match. Once the camera is configured, you can change it to obtain an address automatically through DHCP, or assign a new static IP that fits your local network scheme.

Default Username

The default username for most ZANUO IP cameras is admin. This account has full administrative privileges, enabling control over video settings, network parameters, and user management. Because every device is shipped with the same login credentials, it’s critical to change the username (if supported) or at least create a new account with a strong password immediately after installation. Leaving the admin credentials unchanged is one of the most common security oversights in consumer surveillance systems.

Default Password

By default, ZANUO cameras either have no password (left blank) or use admin as the initial password. While this simplifies setup, it also leaves the device open to unauthorized access. During first login, users should create a strong password that includes uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Some firmware versions automatically prompt the user to update the password during setup to comply with modern security standards.

Default Port

ZANUO cameras typically communicate through port 34567 for TCP/UDP data transmission. This port handles video streaming and control signals between the camera and connected devices, such as mobile apps or DVR systems. In addition, port 80 is often used for web access, while port 554 may be employed for RTSP streaming. If remote monitoring is required, users must configure port forwarding on their router to allow access from outside the local network. However, it’s highly recommended to change the default ports and use encrypted connections to reduce the risk of intrusion.

Connect the camera to your router with an Ethernet cable, then use a web browser to open 192.168.1.10 or the device’s setup utility. Log in with the default credentials to configure network and video settings.
You can reset the camera to factory settings by pressing and holding the reset button for about 10–15 seconds. After it restarts, use the default username and password to log in again.
The issue is often related to router port forwarding or firewall settings. Ensure that ports 80 and 34567 are open, and check whether your ISP allows inbound connections on those ports.
Change the default credentials immediately, disable unused network services, and keep the firmware up to date. If possible, use a VPN or encrypted P2P connection instead of exposing the camera directly to the internet.
