Ezviz Camera: Default IP, Username, Password, Port
Ezviz cameras are a popular choice for home and business surveillance thanks to their ease of use, mobile app integration, and dependable performance. Whether you use a wired IP camera, Wi-Fi camera, or NVR from Ezviz, each device comes with default network and login settings that allow you to set it up quickly. Understanding these defaults is important for connecting the camera to your local network, accessing it through a browser, and later securing it with custom credentials.
Default IP Address
Most Ezviz cameras do not display their IP address immediately after installation, as they often obtain one automatically through DHCP. However, when using a wired connection, the default IP address can typically be found by connecting the camera to your router and checking the device list or by using Ezviz’s configuration tools. In cases where a static IP is assigned, it is usually 192.168.1.64. Setting a static IP after the first login helps ensure a stable connection and easier remote access.
Default Username
For many Ezviz IP cameras and NVRs, the default username is admin. This account gives full control over video feeds, configuration, and system settings. In some newer Ezviz models, you are required to create a new username during the first setup in the mobile app or web interface. Always choose a strong username and avoid keeping “admin” as the active account for long-term use.
Default Password
Earlier Ezviz devices shipped with admin as the default password or had no password set by default. In more recent models, Ezviz requires users to create a secure password when first activating the device through the Ezviz app or via the EZTools software. If you are unable to log in, it is best to reset the camera to factory settings and set up a new password afterward. For security, use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols that cannot be easily guessed.
Default Port
The default HTTP port for Ezviz cameras is 80, which is used to access the device via a browser. Other ports that may be used include 554 for RTSP video streaming, 8000 for device communication, and 443 for secure HTTPS connections. If remote access or port forwarding is needed, it is advisable to change these ports from their defaults to minimize the risk of unauthorized access.
