IDIS Camera: Default IP, Username, Password, Port
When you first set up an IDIS network camera, you need to log in using the default network and account details provided by the manufacturer. These default settings help you access the camera’s configuration page and change important parameters such as video quality, network configuration, and security credentials. Below is a breakdown of the default IP, username, password, and port settings for IDIS cameras.
Default IP
Most IDIS network cameras come with a default IP address of 192.168.0.1. This IP is assigned at the factory and is used for the initial setup.
To access your IDIS camera:
- Connect the camera directly to your computer using an Ethernet cable or via a network switch.
- Set your computer’s IP address to the same subnet (for example: 192.168.0.2).
- Open a web browser and type http://192.168.0.1 in the address bar.
- Press Enter to load the camera login page.
If you are connecting the camera to a network with DHCP enabled, it may receive a different IP address automatically. In that case, you can use the IDIS Discovery Tool (provided by IDIS) to locate the camera on your network.
Default Username
The default username for most IDIS cameras is:
admin
This account has full administrative privileges, allowing you to change all camera settings, create new user accounts, and update firmware. It’s recommended to change the default username after the initial setup to enhance security.
Default Password
The default password is usually:
admin
or in some models:
111111
Depending on the firmware version, you might be required to create a new strong password during the first login. For better protection, choose a password that contains at least 8 characters, including uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
Default Port
The default HTTP port for IDIS cameras is typically:
80
This means you can access the camera by typing the default IP address into a browser without specifying the port (e.g., http://192.168.0.1). However, if you change the port (for example, to 8080), you will need to access it using the format:
http://192.168.0.1:8080
Changing the default port can help reduce unauthorized access attempts from automated scanning tools.
